Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of time commitment will registering my child require?
A: The vast majority of our programs require a two night a week time commitment. One of these nights will be during the week (Mon-Fri) for games and the other will be decided by the coach in collaboration with parents for a practice. Additional tournaments and events will be decided upon in collaboration with the entire time and are voluntary.

Q: I have heard rumours about baseball not being a fully engaged sport, how do I know my child will get every opportunity to stay active?
A: This is a common misconception about the sport of baseball. In reality however, baseball is a  very engaging sport requiring participants to not only develop their athletic abilities but continually improve their intellectual abilities as well. Many other sports require participants to continuously move. Baseball however, adds the bonus of requiring participants to think about all potential plays, get into the proper position and react with split second reflexes and work as a team to achieve the desired outcome of their decisions.  This quick decision making requires large bursts of quick and often intense movement pushing athletic development. Specifically the South London Baseball Association requires its coaches to sign fair play waivers agreeing that all participants will have an equal opportunity to try and practice any position they wish to pursue. This will ensure your child is engaged and has every opportunity to excel in the sport of baseball.
